I started Plus the Pups in 2022 because I thought dogs in weddings were cute. My first tagline was literally "does your dog need a date to your wedding?" But somewhere in the middle of over 140 weddings, something shifted.
The more weddings I worked, the more I realized this wasn't about aesthetics. If dogs are going to be at weddings, they deserve an advocate. Someone who is solely there to speak up on their behalf, to help them through the emotional complexity of a day they didn't ask to be part of, and to make sure they're not just present but actually okay. Dogs take on everything around them if it's not handled properly. That's what we're here for.
